The Thai Orchid restaurant is a delightful Thai, family run Edinburgh restaurant. We were one of the first Thai Restaurants to open in Edinburgh in 1996 and we have gone from strength to strength since relocating to Johnston Terrace, just off the Royal Mile in June 2005.

Situated under the fantastic shadow of Edinburgh Castle, the restaurant is modern, uncluttered, comfortable and spacious, leaving the authentic Thai artworks to speak for themselves.

The friendly, welcoming Thai staff remain the same, and will help guide you through the exciting new menu which has many new additions including some fantastic seafood dishes and an extensive wine menu.

We are proud of our Thai food menus and we source only the best ingredients with herbs, spices and vegetables flown directly from Thailand and quality meat and fish sourced locally from Shaws Fine Meats in Comely Bank, Edinburgh and Eddie’s Seafood in Marchmont, Edinburgh.

The Thai Orchid is also a healthy choice as M.S.G is never used in the preparation of any of our dishes so you can be sure you are getting only the best, most healthy of Thai Meals.

Open from Midday until Midnight for lunch and dinners, 7 days a week. Last orders at 10.45.

Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Jan 1st and 2nd.
