The Thai Orchid is situated right in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town at the top of the Royal Mile. We overlook Edinburgh Castle so it is the perfect location for a stroll round traditional Edinburgh prior to your Thai meal. If you decide to drive there is loads of on-street parking nearby and several car parks so parking is not a problem (a luxury this close to the centre)

To find us

From The Royal Mile : We are at the top end of the Royal Mile right beside the Castle. If you walk up the Royal Mile then take a left when the road splits down Johnston Terrace you will find us just a few seconds walk down Johnston Terrace.

From the Grassmarket : Another easy way to find us is from the Grassmarket. From the West end of the Grassmarket you can walk up Kings Stables Road until it meets Johnston Terrace then simply walk up Johnston Terrace and we're at the top.

Driving from the Grassmarket end is a good option for driving as there is plenty of on-street parking on the way up.

Whichever way you choose to get to us we guarantee you will have fantastic views of the oh-so-beautiful Edinburgh Castle and a trip into possibly the most amazing City centre in the UK!
